On Friday myself and a friend went to visit the Paul Nash exhibition at London’s Dulwich Picture Gallery. I’d kind of forgotten about Paul Nash but do vaguely remember him being talked about in art college lectures mostly in relation to his dramatic and brilliant war art. Artist Open House Exhibition – Brighton Festival
One of the things I’m working on currently is painting like mad for my artists open house exhibition coming up in May. As part of the Brighton Arts festival I’m opening up my Victorian cottage

Sketchbook March 2010
Apologies for complete lack of posting recently but I’ve been busy working on some exciting projects which I shall share later.
In the mean time
Kim Keever and Mariele Neudecker
I came across Kim Keever’s work through Man Make Home. He creates these miniature model landscapes in tanks, fills them water and then adds coloured dyes and photographs them.
Google isn’t everything
I have to admit that I use google a lot to explore my trains of thought, instantly getting some sort of information via Wikipedia or other online sources. However, it has it’s limits.
Jules de Balincourt
Another artist who paints in a collagey way. I love the jigsaw montage of colours and patterns. I feel inspired to add in abstract shapes and elements into my own paintings… Takes a bit of bravery though.
Ryan Mrozowski
I came across Ryan Mrozowski’s work through the flog and I linked through to his site to discover he’s got some great paintings. Love the way he paints, it almost looks like he collages on strips of colour to his paintings.
Old Beauty
I came across this beautiful set of maps of mountains and rivers on ManMadeHome, a blog I thoroughly recommend. It lead me to the flickr stream where they can be found along with a whole collection of other weird and wonderful images.
Teasel Theatre Logo
I’ve just completed the logo I designed and drew for The Teasel Theatre Company. They were looking for something that had a simple woodcut print feel, classic and contemporary.
Marmalade Time
It’s that time of year again when Seville oranges are in the shops for a few precious weeks and you can make the most delicious tasting marmalade.
